Hello! I'm Misty and I'm glad you're here!

As a professional actor, singer, writer, content creator and social media manager, I've honed my skills to be able to communicate and promote the words of others. I followed a script and did what was expected of me. Once my son Jed came on the scene, everything changed. I felt like I was in an unknown land. I had no experience with Down syndrome and felt that anything I had to say would be insignificant. Along the journey I realized that, though I'm not a therapist or in any way connected to the medical field, my personal experience, strength and hope was valuable to newly diagnosed moms, medical professionals and individuals I encounter on a daily basis. I created a platform called, Happiness is Down syndrome on Instagram and Facebook, which encourages families to share their personal journey. Over 30 thousand people all over the world have been connected through this platform. I also advocate on my personal page, @mistycoysnyder, on both TikTok and Instagram. Building community, sharing my unique personal and professional perspective and encouraging others has me excited to wake up each morning. I cannot wait to work with YOU!
